The Club Scene and Deejays in Naples 2008-2015
The club scene in Naples, Italy has always been vibrant and pulsating with energy, attracting world-renowned DJs and music producers. From 2008 to 2015, a lot of prominent deejays and event organizers visited the city and contributed to the evolution of its electronic music culture. The photographer’s objective was to document and capture the essence of the music and the culture that thrived in Naples’ club scene during this period.
The objective of the photography work was to capture the energy, excitement, and vibe of the electronic music culture in Naples from 2008 to 2015. I wanted to showcase the deejays, the events, and the people who were a part of this thriving subculture.
As the photographer, I immersed myself in the club scene, attending various events, and collaborating with event organizers to capture the essence of the music and the culture. I used a mix of natural and artificial lighting techniques to capture the energy and the mood of the scene. I also experimented with different angles and perspectives, including shooting from the DJ booth, to showcase the unique experience of being a part of the electronic music culture.
